I Love Janome, Excellent Sewing Machine

I ordered this sewing machine after having to return the Singer Sewing Machine that I ordered a few days before. I wrote a long review on why the Singer machine was returned, so I won't bother with that here.I already have one Janome Machine, a Magnolia. It's a great machine and I haven't had any problems with it but I sew everyday and I wanted a machine with more features. Specifically a faster machine, an automatic thread cutter and a knee lift. This machine has delivered all those items and more. I love this machine. I have had no problems with it and have sewen three quilts and several other projects since I received it. I love that it came with and extension table (they cost around $100 to buy separately). It also comes with alot of different feet and a nice case to organize everything in.I love the automatic thread cutter and the knee lift, they save me tons of time. This machine is very fast and not too loud. The bobbin winder works very well and you can wind bobbins while sewing as there is a separate motor. I was able to unpack and set it up quickly. It is very easy to use, I flipped through the instruction booklet to make sure I threaded it correctly and I was able to sew with it right away. This machine is kinda heavy, so If you want a machine you can cart around with you then take that into consideration, also this is not a free arm machine, I don't sew clothing so that doesn't bother me but it might bother someone who does sew clothing. I would highly recommend this machine!!

Lots and lots of things I want to say about this machine .. and they are all good, well great really! I had a Simplicity machine that was over 20 years old, worked fine but had it's faults. My sweet husband gave me "free rein" for my birthday/Christmas to get a new machine and this is what I settled on (at my local quilt shop). I was going after the 11000 but the price was an issue I hadn't expected :( So, I have this awesome machine and, like the other reviews, have had zero problems with it. I'm not a proficient enough quilter to run the thing as fast as it will go, don't really know who would need to go as fast as this thing appears that it will go, as I can barely get past the first arrow, but it sails nicely. The bobbin winder works so well, so fast, it scares me :) But it works, unlike the one on my Janome 350e! Love the auto thread cutter, the knee-lifter, the extension table, all the additonal feet that came with it ... the drop in bobbin was a real treat for me too (from the 'old way') ... and all the stitches, some of which I have used more than once already. Made a Bible Cover for my Mom and put a pocket inside and attached the pocket with one of the dressy stitches :)** OH, the very BEST part ... the 11" sewing area !! I've got an ACRE now compared my 8" Simplicity! **The one thing I don't like is the lack of the free-arm .. I do not sew clothing, but I don't like being limited either. If I don't want to be in free-arm 'mode', I want that to be MY choice, I don't want to be forced into it, you know ? I didn't realize that when I got the machine, but there are so many other goodies, they pretty well make up for that 'one' thing. Well, one other thing, kinda minor .. I thought there were more lights on board. There is only the light above the needle .. at least it's an LED. I took care of that problem with one of those flexible lights from WalMart (a pink one ;). Stuck it to the back of the machine, works like a charm.Overall, this Janome 6300P gets an A from me .. points off for the free-arm situation and the lights, otherwise an A+ (takes more than this to take points off .. remember what I'm coming from .. a 20-year old plug-n-go machine !)

I absolutely love my new Janome MC-6300p. It has everything. It runs very smoothly, threads its own thread, and cuts it at the end. It is so easy to make bobbins. This product came with every foot I could imagine and the quilting board, all at a great price. It was my Christmas gift to myself and I couldn't be happier.
