Singer 20U-109 Stitches Per Minute

Extra-High Sewing Speed The extra-high sewing speed provides professional sewing capabilities. Sewing at 2,500 stitches per minute allows this machine to complete your projects almost four times faster than a conventional sewing machine. Heavy Duty Motor The machine’s industrial grade motor provides high speeds and extra power. This motor delivers up to 1/3 horsepower and is constructed for decades of extended use. The motor is designed for high speed sewing on multiple layers of various fabric weights. Knee Lifter Included The knee lifter allows for hands-free raising and lowering of the presser foot and is vital for sewing multiple layers of thick fabric. The extra-high knee lifter provides 9.0 mm (0.35 inch) of lift, allowing for more layers of fabric to be sewn than on conventional sewing machines. If the knee lifter is not used, the traditional presser foot lifter allows for 6.35 mm (0.25 inch) of lift. The knee lifter can also be adjusted to operate stitch width. While in use, the knee lifter can be moved from left to right to taper the stitch as desired. This is helpful when appliquéing and freehand embroidering. The stitch width can also be adjusted using a lever on the front of the machine. Versatile Design for Range of Applications

The 20U-109 Complete is the perfect machine for tailors, seamstresses, home decorators, fashion designers, dry cleaners, and industrial sewers. Its ease of use, extra-high sewing speed and multiple functions make it a great option for high volume domestic sewers as well. By utilizing the included accessories, the 20U-109Complete can be used for straight stitching, zigzag stitching, appliquéing, buttonhole stitching, freehand embroidery, narrow hemming, inserting zippers and adding cords to projects. Adjustable Stitch Length and Width: Keep your seams strong and prevent bunching on any type of fabric with adjustable stitch length and width. Choose from various lengths with a maximum of 5.0 mm (0.20 inch) for straight stitch customization. The zigzag width can be set to a maximum of 9.0mm (0.35 inch). Reverse Lever: The reverse lever is used to reinforce the end of seams, ensure quality stitches, avoid unraveling and provide stronger stitching. 3 Needle Positions:

Needle positions can be changed for individual projects, such as inserting zippers, cording and creative topstitching. Bobbin Winding Spindle System: No need to learn a new method of bobbin winding. This industrial uses the same bobbin winding method as most conventional domestic sewing machines! Needle Bar Frame Clamp Device: When straight stitching, a better sewing result can be obtained by locking the needle bar frame immovable with the clamping device, located on the left side of the machine. For zigzag stitching, the clamp should be released. Large Sewing Space: The large sewing space allows you to easily manage bulky projects. The arm of the machine extends longer than a conventional sewing machine so overcrowding is not an issue. The tabletop measures 50" in length by 22.5" in width. Adjustable Presser Foot Pressure: The amount of pressure exerted on the fabric by the presser foot against the feed dogs is adjustable. Sew from the lightest tricots to the heaviest denim with only the turn of the dial. Adjustable Tension: Adjust the needle tension to ensure stable stitch quality on any type of fabric. You can also change the tension according to special project settings. Sturdy H-Leg Stand: The stand’s H legs provide a safe, stable and immobile sewing space when sewing at high speeds. The stand also features adjustable height and a tan laminate top for durability. The 20U-109 Complete is delivered completely assembled. This complete setup is assembled in Singer’s LaVergne, Tennessee industrial assembly center. This complete set up includes the SINGER 20U-109 machine head, stand and motor. My wife has used this machine to sew several different fabics and even to sew a few patches on a leather and jacket , it works perfect and she couldn't be happier. She had an old singer that was used in a sewing factory, made in 1949, and is really happy with the sewing stitch speed being so much faster on this one. Has sewn every stitch perfect and is really simple to set up and use.Had issues with shipping at trucking co. but was cleared up in one call to customer service at Amazon. Thanks Amazon for great product and service. Jim

Long story short - very, very disappointed in this machine. Ordered one, it worked for 15 seconds and hung up. Wouldn't start after that. Thought it was probably just a fluke so we ordered a replacement. It ran for 4 hours and hung up just like the first one. Surely did not expect that from an industrial machine that cost $1000+! Would not run after that. The only plus in this story is Amazon. Amazon was amazing from start to finish in getting both machines returned. We're so thankful we had Amazon backing up what's sold on their site. This was the best customer service I've ever witnessed!

Wonderful addition for my home business!

My new Singer Industrial machine arrived within 10 days of the order. Delivery was done by CEVA.However, a few things that were detailed with the order were missing! i.e. the COMPLETE packet of accessoriesdid not arrive with the machine! The word COMPLETE means that is what will be needed to actually use themachine as the manufacturer would plan! Amazon folks are wonderful, and are going to replace this machinewith another that hopefully includes all the accessories! When that arrives, then I can rate this as 5 stars!Awesome pricing and service kudos to AMAZON.COM!
